A Lost & Found QR code turns any item into a lost-and-found object with a way back to you: attached to a suitcase, keychain or bike, a scan leads straight to your contact details — or to a form the finder uses to reach you, without ever seeing your phone number or address. You decide how much privacy you need when you create it.

How it works

1

Enter the details

Add a label for the item, a way to contact you, and an optional reward.

2

Choose the visibility

Show your contact details immediately, or mediate requests without the finder ever seeing them.

3

Attach it and you're done

Print the QR code and attach it to the item — suitcase, keychain, bike.

A tag on the collar: the finder reaches you without reading your address off the animal.

Why a Lost & Found QR code from QRown

Your privacy stays protected

In mediated mode, the finder never sees your phone number, email or address — only you receive their message, by email.

Location of the find

The finder can optionally share their current location, so you know where the item is.

Add a vacation address

Enter a time-limited vacation address alongside your home address — ideal while travelling.

Frequently asked questions

Will the finder see my phone number?

Only if you choose "Show immediately". In the recommended "Mediated" mode, the finder leaves a message that you receive by email — your contact details stay protected.

Do I need an account for this?

Yes, Lost & Found is a dynamic feature available to all account holders, including on the free plan.

Can I offer a reward?

Yes, the form has an optional reward field — set by you, shown directly to the finder.

What does the finder see before making contact?

Depending on your setting, only city and country, or all contact details right away. Name, phone, email and address stay hidden until the level you chose.

Does this also work abroad?

Yes. You can add an optional, time-limited vacation address when setting it up, and the finder can optionally share their current location when they find the item.

Does this work as a pet tag?

Yes, and the mediated mode makes particular sense here: on a classic tag your address sits on the collar for anyone to read. With a QR code the finder only sees a form, and you receive the message along with the location. The tag does not replace the microchip — that one needs a vet to read it, while the QR code works for anyone with a phone.
